If you thought a few hot flushes and feeling a bit creaky was all menopause has in store for you then think again! It's a shocking transition if you are not prepared. I know because I wasn't!

“Like so many women, I was blindsided by perimenopause."
At 38, I started experiencing symptoms, and honestly? I had no clue what was happening to me. One minute, I felt like myself; the next, I was on an emotional rollercoaster—frazzled, exhausted, and questioning whether I was slowly losing my mind. It wasn’t just physical changes; I felt completely disconnected from myself.
I’d received no handbook entitled ‘Welcome to Perimenopause’! Like many other perimenopausal women, I thought I knew what was coming but boy was I wrong! Not just a few hot flushes and creaky joints then!
Instead, with little information I was left desperately trying to piece things together—wondering why I was suddenly waking up at 3 am, why my patience had packed up and left, and why my entire body no longer felt like mine. I felt isolated, overwhelmed, and frustrated that nobody had prepared me for this.
Then came HRT, which initially helped steady the ship, but I soon realized it was not the whole answer and wasn't for many women.
I needed to truly understand what was happening to my body, mind, and soul—so I did what any determined (and slightly desperate) woman would do...
I googled it! Don't do this! It is a minefield of useful, and not so useful information. I did learn there are over 34 regular symptoms and many more additional symptoms, no wonder I felt like by body and mind were on another realm!
But being a teacher and understanding the importance of finding science-backed answers I next dove headfirst into books, podcasts, research—anything I could get my hands on! I learned about nutrition, movement, mindfulness, and the incredible power of mindset shifts. And slowly, things started to make sense.
"I wasn’t broken - I was evolving!"
I understand first-hand how crucial it is to have the right mindset, tools and support during this phase of your life. I understand deeply, the emotional and physical changes you’re facing because I’ve been there too.
It's why I feel so passionate about supporting others—helping other women like me, to feel informed, empowered, and back in control, not alone, feeling broken.
"At my lowest point, I didn't think things could get much worse and no one seemed to be talking about their own issues. I don’t want any other woman to feel as lost and desperate as I did."
There are so many things that you can do to complement modern medicine or to replace this if you can't take HRT. There is no one size fits all but a multitude of tools and techniques that when you understand how they can help will ensure you manage your hormonal changes rather than letting your hormones manage you!
I want to share the hours of knowledge, and helpful solutions offering others the support, and confidence to navigate this transition. Something I would have loved to have so that I could feel empowered, not overwhelmed. Menopause isn’t something that just happens to you—it’s something you can take charge of and I would love to show you how!
My approach is all about prevention rather than cure, helping you understand what’s happening so you can make choices that allow you to thrive, not just survive.
